Sweeps coins explained: what they are and how to get them free

Sweeps Coins (SC) are the redeemable half of a sweepstakes casino. Here is what they are, where free ones come from, and the unit rule ClaimChef uses.

Facts as of 2026-10-21. Source: ClaimChef Menu (data/menu.json). Unknown values say so; nothing is estimated.

What sweeps coins are

Sweepstakes casinos use two currencies. Gold Coins (GC) are play-only. Sweeps Coins (SC) are sweepstakes entries that can be redeemed for prizes once the site's playthrough and minimum are met. Site-branded cousins exist (Crown Coins CC, Fortune Coins FC, Funrize PE).

Where free SC comes from

Common free routes are daily login bonuses, signup freebies, drop codes, mail-in requests (AMOE) and social giveaways. Which of these a site offers, and in what amount, changes without notice. The daily bonus pages on this site show the value the Menu last recorded for each site.

How ClaimChef counts SC

1 SC ~= $1 redeemable. GC/CC/FC/PE are non-redeemable play coins (Fortune Coins FC converts ~100 FC = 1 SC-equivalent; Funrize PE converts 100:1). Every figure on a ClaimChef page is SC as recorded in the Menu, never a dollar payout.

What free SC is not

It is not a salary. Playthrough, minimums, ID checks and caps stand between a balance and a redemption, and sites cut dailies. Treat it as entertainment with an occasional prize.

FAQ

Questions people ask

Are sweeps coins real money?

No. SC are sweepstakes entries. They can be redeemable for cash prizes after the site's requirements are met, which is different from holding money.

Can I get sweeps coins for free?

Many sites offer free SC through daily bonuses and signup freebies under a no-purchase-necessary rule. Amounts vary and change; see the daily bonus hub for recorded values.

Do sweeps coins expire?

Some sites expire coins after inactivity. The Menu does not record expiry rules per site, so check each site's official rules.
